South Hiram Elementary PTC Minutes
December 1, 2011
Attendance: Melissa Buker, Tanya Eastman, Amber Sturdevant, Laura Hasty, Suzanne Day, Carole Doughty, Audrey Walsh, Angie Berube-Gray
1. Canned Food Drive -- We collected over 600 items. Mrs. McGary's class was the winner. We provided food for ten families.
2. Genevieve's Fundraiser -- Most of the items have been collected.
3. Sundaes with Santa -- Sunday, December 11 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
a. Ice Cream Toppings -- Leslie Croteau's family is donating the toppins
b. Ice Cream -- Main Street Video is donating the ice cream
c. Decorations -- Tanya Eastman is decorating
d. Hot Chocolate -- Sue
e. We will charge $2.00 per person
f. Amber has a rocking chair that she can bring
g. Santa is coming
h. Candy Canes for Santa to hand out. Melissa will get them.
i. Elves -- we will have 4 or 5 high schoolers. They will arrive at 1 pm.
j. Send flyers to all the elementary schools
k. Craft -- Paint on lids from canning jars, Make Christmas Card, Puzzle Pieces to make different ornanments.
Sticky Foam.
l. Angie will bring her iPod with Christmas songs.
NEXT YEAR: We will do a room for children to buy presents for their family.
4. Goodie Table at the concert on Thursday, December 15 @ 6:30
a. We will sell goodies from 5:00 - 6:15. Sue will get the popcorn and hot chocolate. Hot Cider Concentrate.
b. Popcorn in the classrooms for the students for after the show
c. We will put our goodies in individual baggies. Some fruit would be good too.
d. Everything will sell for 50 cents.
5. Movie Night
Friday, January 20th -- Arrive at 6:00 and movie starts at 6:30. Popcorn, water, snowcones. We will watch the Smurfs. It runs for 102 minutes.
6. Sea Dogs Game -- Notice will go home ASAP. We will make vouchers for holiday gifts.
7. Line School does a tag sale every year. On a Saturday. Drop off donations on Friday afternoon. People picked up what was left on Saturday afternoon to Goodwill. Kids would place things on the tables. They have a raffle table, bake sale table. Just need people there to run it. It runs from 8-3. At noon, everything becomes 1/2 off. This would be a great February or March fundraiser.
8. Coco Key passes will be sent the week of 11/28.
9. Snowshoes. We will donate $125.
